It’s the first day loading in shoes for “The Cenotaph”. As of this morning, there have been 6,793 people killed by guns - that’s excluding an estimated 12,000 gun suicides. The nearly 8,000 shoes in the exhibit will serve as the backdrop of our production of BABEL, a documentary-style play about guns in America. The exhibit will also contain excerpts from the first-person narratives we’ve collected across the country. “The Cenotaph” opens 6/28, BABEL begins performances 7/5.
